How one historic week at the United Nations strengthened my commitment to courageous leadership and purpose.

A Life-Changing Invitation

In 1995, I was invited by the United Nations to speak at the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China.  More than 30,000 women came together — voices, cultures, and stories converging in one place.

It was one of the most profound experiences of my life.

The energy was unforgettable.

The sense of shared purpose was overwhelming.

And the impact of that week has stayed with me ever since.

Encounters I Still Carry with Me

During my two presentations, I connected with women who carried hope, resilience, and vision every single day.

I still remember their faces.

I still remember their words.

Those encounters changed me.

They shaped the way I see leadership — not as a title, but as a responsibility.

And they continue to guide the way I show up in my work and my purpose today.

A Leader Standing Fully in Purpose

One of the remarkable women who influenced me that week was Hillary Clinton.

I still remember sitting in the third row as the First Lady of the United States stepped onto the stage and delivered words that would become a global call to action:

“Women’s rights are human rights.”

It wasn’t just history being made.

It was a leader standing fully in her purpose.

That moment has stayed with me for nearly three decades.

Leadership That Echoes Through Time

That experience helped shape my lifelong commitment to:

  • Leadership

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Personal growth

  • Helping others find their voice

It reminded me that courageous leadership is still needed in every generation.

Because voices matter.

Vision matters.

And purpose-driven leadership changes lives.

Your Voice Still Matters

The world still needs courageous leadership.

It needs people who are willing to live with intention.

It needs dreamers who are ready to become builders.

And it needs individuals who believe their next chapter matters.

Your voice matters.Your vision matters.Your dream matters.
